About Eden Prairie DECA

Eden Prairie DECA is a chapter of DECA at Eden Prairie High School. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Eden Prairie DECA holds multiple socials throughout the school year in an effort to bring our members together to give back to the community. In the past, these socials have included sandwich-making for the homeless in Minneapolis, blanket making for families in need, and collecting items such as canned food and shampoo for our local PROP shop.

General meetings are a valuable part of Eden Prairie DECA. At these meetings, members have a chance to meet other members, get to know officers and advisors, and learn how to improve their business and marketing skills. General meetings also include fun, team-building activities and opportunities to make donations in order to give back to our community

Every year, Eden Prairie sends around 120 DECA members to the District Competition to compete in various written events and role-plays. After this, competitors advance to the state level DECA conference held in Minneapolis. Finally, every year we are proud to have a few of our members represent our chapter at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC).
